Hello, and thank you for your interest in The Hero’s eXperience. The Hero’s eXperience programs are offered by eXperience, Inc, which also offers our Swasher™ toys and children’s costumes for sale through our website. We are a national company based in Boulder, CO which operates this highly unique children’s program in the Denver/Boulder Area, the North Bay Area in San Francisco, CA and Ann Arbor in Michigan.

Teaching Philosophy

We Believe that a non-authoritarian and non-coercive teaching environment encourages children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn. Children who enter our program are supported in becoming empowered, self aware individuals. The puzzles and mysteries, moral dilemmas, and other challenges of the Quest are regarded with creative imagination. They are playful opportunities for experiential learning, cooperation, and problem solving. Our goal is to empower the children to enjoy an epic adventure in a safe and nurturing environment while experiencing self-fulfillment and personal achievement.

Interested in a job with XI?

You can apply online for a job with XI. We are often hiring year round and are always looking for qualified, dedicated individuals who love story telling and children and who want to work with us. Working as a Quest Leader is a great job for a student: Full time in the summer and part time with very flexible hours in the off season. We are currently interested in applicants in Boulder and Denver Colorado, the San Francisco bay area in California and in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Staff

Because we offer programs for children, our staff must be selected and trained very carefully. Every Quest Leader who works for eXperience, Inc is chosen for their dedication, their passion and their love for children. Before being hired each of our Quest Leaders must go through a five step selection process, including background and fingerprint checks. Training is a week long intensive in which staff are given tools for storytelling, conflict resolution, effective communication, and more!
